The year in baseball has been an interesting one for the Los Angeles Angels. The categories which are up for grabs for the 2009 This Year in Baseball Awards includes hitter, starter, manager, setup, defense, play, moment, executive of the year and postseason. Candidates from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim include Tim Lincecum, Juan Rivera, Mike Scioscia, Brian Fuentes, Torii Hunter (nominated in two categories), Izturis/Aybar (for their August 27 infielders team up), Tony Reagins, Vladimir Guerro and Albert Pujols.

Although fans are not particularly happy to see Chone Figgins (Figgy) leave for the Seattle Mariners, they agree that Figgy will be a great addition to any team and will miss him. Dustin Moseley is still recovering from surgery for a strained right forearm and nerve condition and is also anticipating returning back for Spring Training 2010. Fans can expect to hear from all their favorite broadcasters for the 2010 season as well. Regular broadcasters and associated broadcasting production include Darren Chan, Rolando Nichols, Jose Mota, Mark Gubicza, Terry Smith, Rory Markas, Rex Hudler and Steve Physioc.
