A lot of people have no idea that fertility can be ruin by sexually transmitted diseases or STD. In fact a large number of women in the United States alone have infertility problems because of this. It has become a big problem of many women who was once infected by STD, and because there infection was treated way too late and the damage has been done already, that they can no longer have a child of their own. Gonorrhea and Chlamydia is a disease that has no noticeable symptoms of any kind. These two can stay with you forever untreated and unnoticed if you don’t get check regularly for STD. A person with Chlamydia is more susceptible to HIV than the average women. A test can determine if you have the diseases, but if you have your annual Pap smear test then you easily ask your doctor to administer Chlamydia test as well. Of course, if you engage in paid sex or have multiple sexual partners most of the time then it is only wise to be tested frequently to avoid having problems with infertility.

Gonorrhea is another unnoticeable disease that has an approximate 718, 000 of people infected by it annually, this is within the US alone. Like all other STD’s this is also transmitted during oral, anal and vaginal sex and childbirth. A bacterium called Neisseria Gorrhoeao is the cause of Gonorrhea. It has symptoms similar to Chlamydia but with a little exceptions, such as spots in between periods. Any person infected with Gonorrhea, particularly women is likely at risk in becoming infertile, if the disease is not treated as soon as possible. A simple urine test can confirm if you have Gonorrhea or not.

To avoid future problems with infertility, it is best to get a quick test and treatment. Don’t be embarrassed because you have the diseases a lot of people has the same problem as you. What is more important to get help right away, the bacteria won’t go away by itself it needs you to eliminate the problem. So what are you waiting for? Do something now or face the problem of infertility.
