We should all make it a point to make exercise routines a part of our everyday tasks. However, even if we know how important exercise is, we are often plagued with too many preoccupations at work and at home that we cannot find the time to squeeze in an exercise routine. There are lazy people who simply are not interested in raising a finger, much less to get involve in physical activities. Meanwhile, there are also those who are simply a victim of their poor management skills. Whatever the case may be, exercise should always be among our top priorities to attain a healthy and lifestyle.

A sedentary lifestyle is centered around physical inactivity and is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Most Americans are not physically active. Activities like swimming, cycling, jogging, skiing, aerobic dancing, walkingcan increase your metabolism and can help your heart. The bottom line is that all physical activity adds up to a healthier heart.

According to the American Heart Association/American College of Sports Medicine guidelines on physical activity, healthy adults ages eighteen to sixty five should get at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity activity five days of the week. We suggest simply getting your body in motion. Start slowly but getting the blood circulating is the first step to restoring optimal health.

Although we are already well aware of what exercise can provide us with, it’s also nice to go back to those benefits every now and then, just so we can be more motivated to jumpstart our exercise routines. Here are the advantages of exercise:

(5) Exercise is goof for the skin because it lessens stress
(6) Exercise can create a positive outlook for you because it has an impact on your sense of well being
(7) Exercise is good for the heart because it can increase heart rate and thus enable better circulation

Exercise should form an important part of everybody s life. That said; we should always make the necessary adjustment to make time for exercise. Here are some great tips that can get you started on an exercise routine:

(1) Plan your exercise by putting it in your calendar
(2) Make exercise a happy time with friends by including them in your regimen
